The idea for Mia Sirena came about in 2006 when designer Joanne Armitage got married herself.

She wanted deep purple and black wedding invitations but after searching the internet and visiting numerous wedding fayres and having no success she decided to make them herself.

Those Invites were the Gothic Orchid Collection.

After all the complements she thought that there must be other brides wanting non traditional invites and so Mia Sirena was born. It wasn’t until Joanne had her son Coveney that she had the time to get Mia Sirena off the ground. With her degree in Graphic Design and experience designing everything from logos and cds to nightclub flyers and even beer bottle lables.

Her artwork has appeared in two books and has won awards. During her maternity leave she spent months designing invitations, save the date cards, seating charts and all manner of other wedding stationery. Mia Sirena made its launch in February of this year at a number of wedding fayres where the response was overwhelming. It seems that traditional is out and funky is in when it comes to weddings.
